Prague U8 – Rings

The team is now full. New registrations will be kept as substitutes.

In the 2024/2025 school year, the team is intended for boys and girls born between 2016 and 2018. Any exceptions will be assessed individually, especially according to the capacity of this and other teams.

Players will be divided between the training teams (training sessions continue on consecutive Fridays) based on performance, taking into account age.

Location

Trainings are taking place:

• from September to October and April to June every Friday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the TJ Sokol Vinohrady pitch, Polská 1533/1, 120 00 Prague 2 – Vinohrady (above the stadium in Riegrovy sady) on the new pitch with 4th generation artificial turf.
• from November to March every Friday from 3:00 PM to 4:15 PM in the hall of Chelčického Primary School – Chelčického 2614/43, 13000 Prague 3 – Žižkov .

In both cases, training takes place throughout the school year except for public holidays and school vacations.

We reserve the right to change the training location due to possible operational problems (e.g. problems caused by the sports venue landlord). We reserve the right to cancel training in the event of force majeure events such as inclement weather, illness of the coaching staff and other circumstances beyond our control. In the event of a longer-term inability to train, we will refund a proportional part of the contributions.

It is not allowed to play with spiked shoes on the pitch. Turf shoes are the most suitable footwear.

This team does not participate in any competitions and the players only play in pre-arranged friendly matches.

If you know children born in 2006 and 2007 and 2010 to 2012, we would be happy to arrange an offer to participate in competitive matches in the official league against other Prague clubs and related training sessions in the U15 – Competitive and U19 – Competitive teams.

Training

We spend approximately half of the training time on football training. At this age, it is still about developing individual technique, but the emphasis is mainly on joint team skills, where players learn cooperation and play under pressure.

In the second half of the training, the players play football, where we emphasize the transfer of skills from the training part to the game itself of individual players and in the concept of the team.

Since we are a Christian football club, we want to develop not only the physical (football) side of the players, but also the spiritual side. That is why short reflections by the coaches are also part of the training sessions. We always want to explain the idea in a way that is understandable considering the age of the players and proportional to the fact that they come from different backgrounds. We convey biblical truths applied to life from the perspective of the Bible, other stories and our own experiences. Reflections are always accessible to parents. In some teams, a short prayer is also part of the training.

Cost

We collect contributions from players for playground rentals in the total amount of 2,400 CZK per half-year. (The contributions already include energy, which unfortunately has increased significantly in price in recent months.) We reserve the right to increase the price for the second half of the year in the event of increases in the rental amount.

• Payment for the 1st half of the year is due by September 31, 2024.
• Payment for the 2nd half of the year is due by January 31, 2025.

Payments are always prescribed to players in the club application KIS, where they are also assigned the appropriate symbols.
